In General RSA training applies to:

  • licensees;
  • approved managers;
  • staff, including promotional staff, involved in the sale, supply and service of alcohol;
  • volunteers, including club directors, who have liquor service responsibilities and
  • security officers with crowd control duties.

RSA training must be undertaken by a training provider approved by the the required licensing authority.

Students are issued with an approved certificate on behalf of the Authority on completion of the course. This certificate needs to be retained by students and a copy needs to be provided to the venue management, as it is required to be kept in a register by the licensee at the premises.

They both provide the same qualification SITHFAB002: Responsible Service of Alcohol, however online learning is self paced and doesn’t have to be taken and completed all at once. So you can do the course at your lesuire without taking time off work and no need for the expense of parking or tarnsport, babysitters, or time organising these. You also have the option of loging back into the course at any stage to refresh your memory, when situations arise at work. You can complete it in the comfort of your own home. The level of training is consistent and not dependant on the trainer that you get that day.

Speakers are recommended, although headphones would do. But one of them is compulsory as the Presentation has Audio.

Broadband/Cable Internet is required. 3G Wireless, including the ones having USB Wireless Modems, are NOT recommended. Dial-Up is not suitable, sorry

The supported browsers for this course include Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Your browser should be up to date with the latest version for optimal performance. This course is compatible with desktop computers (screen resolution of at least 1024x768), iPad, iPhone, iPad mini, android tablets and android phones.

The following plugins and software are free.

Adobe Acrobat Reader – used to view/print your certificate.

This course does not have GST as it is work related training.

As soon as you complete the course you can print your certificates.

We use the standard Adobe Acrobat PDF file so you can easily print or email the files when you finish the course. You can also log back into the course and print or email them at any time you need it in the future. If you can’t remember your login, don’t worry, just give us a call and we can retrieve it for you.

Please allow approximately 4-5 hours to complete this course and the related assessments (plus 1-2 weeks for the third-party observation report).

You have 3 months from when you pay for the course to complete it.

You can re-attempt the assessment if you do not pass. You will receive detailed feedback from our Assessors on your incorrect answer and be asked to re-submit the assessment.

You can pay via credit or visa debit.

If these are not possible then we can send you an EFT form, or you can send us a money order (we accept no responsibility for money orders that are lost in the post). In both of these acses it can take 3-5 days to gain access to the course.

Beginning in 2015 if you are undertaking nationally recognised training delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) you will need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Your USI gives you access to your online USI account which will contain all your nationally recognised training records and results from 1 January 2015 onwards.

If you don’t already have your USI number this can be created easily through the profile section of your account. For more information regarding the USI please visit www.usi.gov.au.
